Teens arrested for break and enter in Whitby

Two Oshawa teens are facing several charges after an attempted break-in in Whitby.

At approximately 1 a.m. on Monday, July 11, police were called to a mini-storage facility in the area of Victoria Street and Thickson Road. A witness at the scene said two males had broken into the facility before fleeing on foot.

Two K-9 teams were sent to the scene to search for the suspects, but could not find them. However, the two teens were later found near the storage facility at 3:20 a.m.

A 17-year-old male and an 18-year-old male, both of Oshawa, have been charged with three counts each of break and enter with intent to commit and one count each of possession of break and enter instruments.
