Teen stabbed over drug debt
Durham police are investigating after three masked suspects stabbed a teenager looking to collect a drug debt.
At approximately 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 28, two 17-year-old males were on Coldstream Drive, east of Harmony Road. According to police, one of the males had been in the area to collect a debt from a previous drug deal when three masked suspects approached him from a wooded area. When his friend arrived, the two of them confronted the three masked suspects, which resulted in a fight. Afterwards, the friend realized he had been stabbed multiple times in the back.
The injured male was treated for minor stab wounds at a local hospital.
Police say the three suspects were teenaged males wearing masks and dark clothing.
