Suspect spotted using credit cards stolen from Oshawa construction site
Police are looking to identify a woman spotted on surveillance cameras using stolen credit cards.
The credit cards were stolen during a break-in on Jan. 8 when unknown suspects broke into a work van at a construction site in the area of Conlin Road and Simcoe Street in Oshawa. The suspects stole several power tools, copper wire and a wallet containing debit cards and a Visa card. Purchases were later made using the credit and debit cards that were inside the wallet.
Investigators have released surveillance images of a female who used the stolen cards in hope of identifying her. The surveillance footage was taken at a Tim Hortons on Simcoe Street on the date of the theft.
The first suspect is described as a white male, 20 to 40 years-old, clean shaven, and wearing a hoodie with a reflective construction jacket.
The second suspect is described as a white female in her 20s, straight long brown hair and, wearing a large construction coat with reflective marks on the front, rear and sleeves.
The suspect vehicle is described as a newer model Chevrolet pickup truck.
