Suspect sought in bank robbery
Police are seeking to identify a suspect after a north end bank was robbed over the weekend.
Durham police responded to the Royal Bank on Taunton Road near Harmony Road at approximately 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 23 for a robbery. According to police, a male suspect entered the bank, passed a note to the teller and left the bank on foot with cash, last seen heading west on Taunton.
A search of the area by police and K-9 units turned up no results.
The suspect is described as a white male in his mid-30s and is approximately five feet and five inches tall with a skinny build. He was last seen with a beard and wearing a black hat and sunglasses.
