School broken into

One woman is facing charges after an Oshawa school was broken into.

At approximately 1 a.m. on Thursday, April 6, police were called to Clara Hughes Public School on Taylor Avenue for a break-in at one of the school’s portables.

At the scene, police surrounded the school while the DRPS K-9 Unit tracked two suspects outside as they fled. A female suspect was located in a residential area and arrested without incident. A male suspect was able to escape, and police are continuing the search for him.

A 22-year-old female of no fixed address has been charged with break and enter, failure to comply with an undertaking and possession of a Schedule I controlled substance in connection with this incident.
