Public talks on transit to be held

Durham Region Transit has announced it will once again be holding public information centres on what lies ahead for transit.

Starting March 16 in Oshawa, the talks will give people “the opportunity to provide input on DRT’s 2018 service plan, as well as discuss 2017 improvements, including the high-frequency network, new Saturday service in the north and new service to growth areas,” according to a news release.

DRT says anyone attending the meetings is encouraged to give their thoughts on proposed plans for next year, or by using the hashtag #DRT2018 on social media.

The Oshawa talks will both be held at the Oshawa Centre, the first on Thursday, March 16 from 6 to 8 p.m., and again on Saturday, March 18 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
