Police seize drugs, cash

Two Oshawa residents are among those facing charges after Durham police seized thousands of dollars in illegal drugs.

On Thursday, May 25, DRPS’ Gun and Gang Unit executed three search warrants in Oshawa and Whitby following an investigation. During those searches, police found more than $4,000 worth of crystal methamphetamine, crack cocaine, cocaine, marijuana and OxyContin. Cash totaling $2,000 was also seized.

A 34-year-old male of Dean Avenue in Oshawa has been charged with a trafficking a Schedule I substance (crystal methamphetamine), possession of crystal methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a Schedule I substance (OxyContin), possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (crack cocaine), possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a Schedule II substance (marijuana).

A 25-year-old male of Nonquon Road in Oshawa, a 24-year-old male of Dean Avenue in Oshawa, a 24-year-old male of Dovedale Drive in Whitby and a 26-year-old male of Barrie are all charged with possession of a Schedule I substance (crystal methamphetamine).
