Police looking to return stolen items

One man has been arrested following a series of break-ins around Oshawa and the City of Kawartha Lakes. Now, the Durham Regional Police are looking to return the stolen property to its rightful owners.

The items were stolen between Feb. 9 and Feb. 23 of this year. In an effort to identify the owners of the recovered property, the DRPS have posted pictures of the seized property on their Facebook page (@Official DRPS), which includes power and hand tools, car audio equipment and personal accessories.

A 33-year-old man of Harmony Road, Oshawa has been charged in the break-ins and faces a number of theft and drug charges, along with 28 counts of failing to comply with a probation order. He was held for a bail hearing.

Police advise that if you believe you can identify an item shown, to contact the officer in charge with the item number at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 1605 or1603. Ensure you have documentation to support your claim, such as a police report number or insurance claim. Please quote the item number when making a claim for an item. Do not report over Facebook as the site is not monitored 24/7.
