Plenty of road closures in Oshawa
Interruptions due to downtown events, sewer installation
There will be a number of road closures in and around Oshawa’s downtown area over the next few days.
On Thursday, July 19, between 2 p.m. and 10 p.m., Metcalfe street will be closed between Centre Street and Simcoe Street South a for summer night market hosted jointly by the City of Oshawa and Oshawa BIA.
There will be numerous temporary closures on Saturday, July 21 due to the Durham Quarter Marathon fundraiser in support of The Refuge.
– Westside lanes of Centre Street from King Street to Bagot Street will be closed from 7:30 a.m. to 8:15 a.m.
– Centre Street will be closed fully from King Street to Gibb Street from 8:15 a.m. to 8:45 p.m.
– The west lane of Centre Street from Gibb Street to Fairbanks Street will closed from 8:30 to 9 a.m.
– The west lane of Centre Street from Simcoe Street to Mill Street will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 9:15 p.m.
Ritson Road will be closed northbound between Adelaide Avenue and Rolson Street on Saturday, July 21 and Sunday, July 22. There will also be some southbound lane restrictions.
These closures are due to the installation of sanitary sewer service for new development.
