Oshawa woman among group arrested in Beaverton drug raid

Five people are now in custody following the raid of a Beaverton home that led to the seizure of more than $8,000 in drugs and a trio of replica firearms.

Officers from the North Division and the Durham Regional Police Tactical Support Unit executed a search warrant at a home on Simcoe Street East on Sept. 5, seizing quantities of marijuana, methadone, cracking cocaine and crystal meth.

A 52-year-old male from Kawartha Lakes, a 40-year-old woman from Keswick, a 27-year-old Oshawa woman, a 44-year-old Beaverton male and a 55-year-old from Port Bolster are all facing an array of drug possession and trafficking charges.

The 27-year-old from Oshawa was held for a bail hearing while the others were released on a promise to appear.
