Oshawa man charged in T.O. crash

An Oshawa man is facing multiple charges after a crash in Toronto left one man with life-threatening injuries.

Toronto police were called to the area of Danforth Road and Eglinton Avenue East shortly after 3 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 26 for a collision. According to police, a male was driving a Honda Odyssey east on Eglinton toward Danforth when he hit a Saturn Ion that was also going east. As a result of the crash, both vehicles went off the road and hit a pole on the south side of Eglinton.

Police say the driver of the Honda attempted to leave the scene following the crash.

The Saturn’s driver, a 49-year-old male, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

A 22-year-old Oshawa male has been charged with criminal negligence causing bodily harm, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm, impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm, failure to stop at a collision causing bodily harm and refusing to give a breath sample causing bodily harm.
