Oshawa man charged in Canada Day shooting in Aurora

An Oshawa man is among the five people charged following a shooting in Aurora on Canada Day.

Shortly after 10 p.m. on Friday, July 1, York Regional Police were called to Di’Nardo’s Mansion banquet hall on Industrial Parkway South near Vandorf Sideroad in Aurora. According to police, a fight broke out between individuals at the event, leading to four people – three females and one male – getting shot. Police say all four suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The suspects fled the scene in a white Porsche, which was later located by Air2, York police’s helicopter. The five suspects in the vehicle were arrested.

A 24-year-old Oshawa male has been charged with aggravated assault in connection with this incident.
