Oshawa man charged in Algoma
An Oshawa man is facing charges after a police officer found alcohol in a vehicle in the Algoma area.
Shortly after 8 p.m. on Monday, April 11, an officer with the East Algoma detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police pulled over a westbound vehicle on Highway 17 west of Blind River, a town approximately 115 kilometres southeast of Sault Ste. Marie.
After the vehicle was pulled over, the officer found an open container of alcohol in the vehicle.
A 37-year-old Oshawa male was charged with driving a motor vehicle with an open container of liquor in connection with this incident.
