Oshawa convenience store robbed
Durham police are looking for a suspect after an Oshawa convenience store was robbed.
Durham police were called to Siva’s Mart Convenience Store located at Park Road South and Elmgrove Avenue for the report of a robbery that occurred the week prior.
The victim reported that on Thursday, June 10, at around 8 p.m., the suspect entered the store and indicated that he had a weapon as he proceeded to steal various items.
Police say the victim followed the suspect out of the store and the suspect assaulted the victim and fled on a bike.
He was last seen riding south from the store. No weapon was seen.
The victim received minor injuries as a result of the assault.
It is believed that this incident is connected to a convenience store robbery that occurred in the area earlier in the day.
The suspect is described as a white male between 25 and 30 years old. He is about 5’5” with a medium build, a fair complexion, black hair and dark facial hair. He was wearing a black hat, blue collared shirt, shorts, and was riding a bicycle.
