Man pulled from rolled over vehicle
An Oshawa man is receiving treatment in a Toronto hospital after his vehicle rolled over in an incident near Algonquin Park.
Shortly before 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 21, officers from the Haliburton Highlands OPP detachment were called to a single vehicle rollover on Highway 118 in Algonquin Highlands Township. Police say the vehicle burst into flames after the collision.
The vehicle’s lone occupant, a 30-year-old Oshawa male, was pulled from the wreckage by people who had stopped at the scene. The male was taken to a local hospital for serious but non-life threatening injuries before being airlifted to a Toronto hospital for treatment.
A 30-year-old Oshawa male has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and driving with more than 80mg of alcohol in his blood in connection with this incident.
