Line painting season has begun

The Region of Durham works department would like to remind residents to exercise caution when driving around line-painting vehicles.

Generally, these crews will be on the roads from May through October during weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

These vehicles operate at a reduced speed to ensure the paint is applied correctly and drivers should keep a safe distance back and not attempt to pass.

Road paint contains glass beads to make it reflective and driving on fresh line paint can cause damage to vehicles and compromise the quality of the road lines.
