Lane restrictions at Simcoe and Conlin
With warmer weather ahead, this means construction season is just around the corner.
One of the first projects getting underway will be work in the area of Simcoe Street North and Colin Road, meaning there will be lane restrictions.
Starting this week, the intersection between the two roads, as well as the intersection between Conlin and Founders Drive, will see lanes closed off for work.
According to a news release from the region’s works department, work is being done to relocate a watermain, widen the road, do work on the curbs and gutters, and eventually the paving and resurfacing the road.
Work is expected to be complete by the end of August, although unfavourable weather conditions may change that.
“The region realizes that the work may be disruptive, and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible,” a news release states. “Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and construction workers.”
