Keeping trucks off of Columbus Road East

The city is taking further steps to keep heavy trucks from infiltrating Columbus Road East.

The road currently has a heavy traffic prohibition between Simcoe Street North and Grandview Street North.

However, with the expansion of Highway 407 now open to Harmony Road, a further heavy traffic prohibition must be made between the 407’s Harmony Road exit, north to Columbus Road East.

This will force trucks to head south on Harmony Road North to keep them off Columbus Road East.
