Help name new Oshawa school

What’s in a name?

Well, the Durham Region District School Board believes that whatever it is, the public should have their say. That’s why it’s inviting residents to put forward suggestions to help name the new French Immersion school being built at 950 Coldstream Dr.

The school board is accepting suggestions until May 27 and is asking ideas be sent to unnamedschool.fi@ddsb.ca to the attention of Silvia Peterson, superintendent of education.

In keeping with DDSB guidelines, name suggestions follow basic principles and are either a historic name related to the area, a connection to the district the school will serve, the name of the street on which the school is located or after a person who is recognized for making a significant contribution to the region, province or country.
