Four in Oshawa arrested in biker drug sweep

Four southend Oshawa residents are facing multiple charges after a series of arrests that also hit a notorious biker gang.

Earlier this month, members of the Durham police’s Biker Enforcement Unit, along with the Gun and Gang Enforcement Unit and Drug Enforcement Unit, launched an investigation into the sale of illegal drugs from a south Oshawa townhouse complex. Two people were arrested after a drug transaction at the residence.

Later, search warrants were executed at the residence, as well as at the Hells Angels Motor Cycle Club East Toronto Chapter on St. Clair Avenue in Toronto.

In total, 240 grams of cocaine, 13.5 grams of marijuana, 25.8 grams of cannabis resin, 12 fentanyl patches and $9,420 in cash was seized from the Oshawa townhouse. A resident of the townhouse was also arrested in Toronto, which led to the seizure of 12.7 grams of cocaine, 20 Oxycodone pills and $1,170 in cash.

The search warrant at the Hells Angels complex resulted in the seizure of cocaine and Oxycodone.

In total, the amount of drugs seized has an estimated total of $30,950.

A 39-year-old male of Glen Street in Oshawa has been charged with eight drug related offences, including trafficking cocaine, possession of the purpose of trafficking and two counts of possession of the proceeds of crime over $5,000.

A 42-year-old female, a 19-year-old male and a 30-year-old male, all of Glen Street, have each been charged with five drug related offences, including possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of the proceeds of crime over $5,000.

Four other individuals – a 63-year-old Toronto male, a 35-year-old Pickering male, a 39-year-old Clarington male and a 28-year-old Clarington female – are also facing drug-related charges in connection with these arrests.
