Food for Clothing Exchange runs Nov. 4

The Durham District School Board, Durham Catholic District School Board and other local boards are pleased to support the 29th Annual Durham Schools Food for Clothing Exchange this weekend.

All school communities and members of the public across Durham Region are invited to drop off clean clothing donations at G.L. Roberts CVI , located at 399 Chaleur Avenue in Oshawa by noon on Thursday, Nov. 2. All types of winter clothing in all sizes will be accepted, including snowsuits, coats, sweaters, pants, hats, mittens, scarves, jeans, boots, shoes etc.

The exchange will take place on Saturday, Nov. 4 from 9 a.m. to noon at G.L. Roberts CVI in Oshawa. Anyone in need of winter clothing for their families may attend. Participants are asked to bring a non-perishable food item for donation to the local food bank on the day of the exchange, although it is not mandatory.
