Federal offender skips parole
The search is on after a man serving a sentence for several violent offences skipped his parole.
A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for Josiah Peters, 30, for breaching his parole, according to a news release from the OPP’s Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE) Squad.
Peters is described as a biracial male, five feet and eight inches tall and weighs 166 pounds. Police say he has a tattoo of drama masks on his left forearm and a compass on his back.
Peters is serving a four-year, six-month sentence for forcible confinement, overcoming resistance by choking, assault with a weapon, criminal harassment, assault with intent to resist arrest and possession of a narcotic for the purpose of trafficking.
According to police, Peters is known to frequent the Greater Toronto Area.
