DESCRIPTION:Celebrate National Youth\nand Youth Arts Week\, May 1 to 7.\nNational Youth Week is an annual\nweek long series of events and activities dedicated to youth. It is\ndesigned to celebrate youth culture and is planned and coordinated\nby the Oshawa Youth Council and city staff for youth in\nthe community. All events are free admission for youth. A\ndonation of a non-perishable food items is requested. Free\nadmission for youth to the fun swim (including water slide) at\nSouth Oshawa Community Centre from 6:45 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.\nRegular pool admissions apply.

DESCRIPTION:Relax and escape into\nfabulous short films that have been\nsubmitted to DRIFF. On the first Friday\nof every month (except July and August)\, DRIFF joins the creative\nteam at the Robert McLaughlin Gallery\, 77 Queen Street\,\nfor RMG Fridays to entertain viewers in style. Viewers will be\ntreated to a warm welcome\, fresh popcorn\, and free screenings\nof a wide variety of professionally curated films. Some will\ncause laughter\, others will make you think\, feel inspired\, or be\nmoved. Each month one or two short films totalling about 15\nminutes will repeat every 30 minutes starting at 7:15 p.m. This\nleaves you free to enjoy the wine\, beer\, music\, food\, and art\nexperiences in other areas of the gallery too. Running from 7\np.m. to 10 p.m.\, all that is asked is for a donation at the door\nif desired.
