Oshawa teens charged after Gun and Gang Unit investigation

A recent investigation by the DRPS’ Gun and Gang Unit resulted in the seizure of three firearms and a quantity of drugs.

On July 4 and 5, officers conducted a drug trafficking investigation at a residence in Oshawa. A search warrant was issued at a residence and buildings on Hall Street, where officers located a .22 calibre prohibited handgun, a .22 calibre modified homemade rifle and a 12-gauge shotgun. The search also yielded a quantity of ammunition, drugs and drug trafficking paraphernalia.

During the search, the accused and co-accused returned home and were arrested. They were found in possession of a quantity of cocaine and marijuana. Four people were charged in connection with the investigation.

An 18-year-old male, and a 17-year-old female, both of Hall Street in Oshawa, each face 15 firearm-related charges, including careless storage, unauthorized possession, and tampering with a serial number.

They also face drug trafficking charges. Both were held for bail hearings.

A 21-year-old man and 42-year-old woman were also arrested on drug-related charges.
