Investigators are looking for witnesses after a man was assaulted during an apparent road rage incident in Oshawa.
At approximately 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 28, the victim said he was driving on Bayly Street in Ajax and heading eastbound towards Oshawa. The victim was pulling a rental trailer when he noticed a small white Cadillac SUV following him closely.
The male passenger of the Cadillac reached out the window and struck the trailer with his hand several times.
The victim came to a stop near Bloor Street West at the entrance of the Oshawa GO station and the passenger of the trailing vehicle came towards the victim and started punching and choking him.
The victim attempted to defend himself as the suspect threw him to the ground. The female driver came out and kicked the victim in his face while he was down.
The male suspect attempted to gain entry into the victim’s vehicle but was unsuccessful. The male tried to rip off the mirror and then fled in the vehicle.
The victim suffered facial injuries.
The suspects are described as male, black, 180 pounds, slim build, 5’2” to 5’3” tall, with curly hair, wearing a white t-shirt and female, white, medium build, 5’6” to 5’7” tall.
Investigators would like any witnesses that may have seen the altercation to come forward.
