Arrests made following drug investigation
Four people have been arrested as a result of a Durham Regional Police drug investigation in Oshawa and Pickering.
Officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit arrested two people following a search warrant on Guelph Street as part of the ongoing investigation. On the scene, police seized a handgun along with ammunition, Canadian currency and drug paraphernalia.
A 21-year-old of Eagle Ridge Drive in Oshawa is now facing 24 firearm and drug related offences while a 19-year-old of Guelph Street is facing 10 similar charges. Both suspects were held for a bail hearing.
A 22-year-old of Roanoke Road in Toronto has also been charged with four counts of trafficking a controlled substance (cocaine) and three counts of possessing proceeds of crime under $5,000
A 22-year old Ajax man is also charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine/marijuana) and possession of a controlled substance (cocaine).
